Chase the Sun 2025

Race Against The Sun 2025 · 21 June 2025 ·
Sunflowers have been an incredible support to my family since losing Yasmin to suicide.
Yasmin was a twin, a big sister, a daughter, niece, cousin, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter. Her loss has left a space in our family that can never be filled.
Losing someone to suicide is unimaginably painful. It leaves lasting scars and turns everyday life into a struggle. The pain never fully goes away, and some days can feel like a battle just to get through. That’s why the support from organisations like Sunflowers is truly life-changing and deeply appreciated. The kindness and care from the Sunflowers team has meant more than words can say.
In honour of Yasmin, I’m pledging to run 10km every day for this challenge.
Please support me if you can. Every donation, no matter the size, helps Sunflowers continue their vital work and support other families like mine.
This won’t be easy—truth be told, I just attempted a 10km run and I barely managed, so this is going to take everything I’ve got! Wish me luck! - Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Training starts now. Let’s go.
Sunflowers Suicide Support is a registered charity, established in 2018 under Charity Number 1177266. Our journey began in memory of Pete Morris, who tragically took his own life in September 2016 at just 29 years old. The Morris Family, after experiencing the profound impact of suicide, identified significant gaps in support and understanding. They founded Sunflowers with a clear mission: to bridge these service gaps with person-centred care. Sunflowers Suicide Support are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those bereaved and affected by suicide in Gloucestershire.
