AWF Thames Walk · 4 June 2023

AWF was set up in 1983 by vets with a passion to alleviate unnecessary pain and suffering in all animals and to improve their welfare through science, education and debate. Farm animals, working animals, wild animals and pets – all need our expert help and with your help we can provide it.

Story

Please support me and/or join me on this Thames Walk for AWF

We will be walking 25km from Twickenham to Westminster on 4th June 2023 to raise funds for the Animal Welfare Foundation. BVA's charity, AWF, has been putting animal welfare at the heart of veterinary science for the past 40 years, helping animals in the UK enjoy a better life through research, education and debate.

AWF is a science-led and knowledge-based charity which identifies and tackles animal welfare issues by funding ground-breaking research and leading impactful debates and conversations at all levels, always pushing for better and higher standards of animal welfare. But we need your help to continue our mission - please support AWF by sponsoring our walk!

Any amount, however big or small will truly make a difference.  This walk is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the work AWF has been doing for the past 40 years and put one of their flagship events, the Discussion Forum, into focus.

"AWF's Discussion Forum is one of my favourite events in the veterinary calendar. It’s a unique event designed to tackle animal welfare in a way that encourages self-reflection and inspires delegates to act and advocate for change.  Whatever sector of the profession you are in, you will find something to stimulate new thoughts."

If you would like to join our walk, please email: enquiries@animalwelfarefoundation.org.uk
