Camino 50km Ultra Marathon in Epping Forest and the London Marathon 2026 · 4 October 2025

Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others, and providing support and information you can trust. We’re calling out the misunderstanding, prejudice and barriers that stop people with epilepsy living their best life.

Story

I completed the last of my 27 half-marathons on Saturday 8th March in Battersea Park, joined by 39 of my friends & family who decided to put in the time & effort to be able to run with me - raising a total of £13,741 on top of my sponsorship. I am so very proud of each & every one of them!

So, what’s next. Before completing the 27, I decided that my next challenge needed to push me even more than the last and where most people would choose a full marathon, I decided that an Ultra marathon was the way forward. So, on the 4th October 2025, I will be running the Camino 50km Ultra.

Additionally, Epilepsy Action have guaranteed me a place for the 2026 London Marathon, something that I gladly accepted and am very excited to be part of an amazing team.

I am sorry to be asking you all again, but any sponsorship will be greatly appreciated and will help Epilepsy Action to continue their amazing work in supporting those living with Epilepsy.

Note: When sponsoring, would you kindly mark C for Camino or LM for the London Marathon please 😀

Also, being the generous person I am, I of course extend the offer for anyone to join me for the Ultra marathon - feel free to sign up using the link below 🫣

Here is a quick reminder of Abbie's story:

Abbie, suffered an epileptic seizure on the 14th September 2023, having only been diagnosed with the disorder 6 weeks earlier. The seizure was so severe, it sent her in to cardiac arrest.

Despite the best efforts of the doctors, nurses and support staff over the next few days, the worst possible conclusion was reached on Sunday 17th September, when doctors informed us that Abbie could not be saved - she passed away that evening, 3 months before her 30th birthday.

Speaking personally, losing my sister has been the worst experience of my life and every day since has been emotionally painful - so why not add a little physical pain to that, in honour of Abbie, so that she wasn’t just “one of the three” on the 17th September? I want her passing to mean something; to help make a difference, not only by raising money to go towards research, but also to raise awareness of how serious this illness is.

Thank you all for your continued support 💜💜💜
