I am sure you have seen the devastating news that hit my home country Turkiye ( Turkey) on Sunday. We are absolutely heartbroken.

The impact was felt hundreds of miles away in neighbouring countries as well as Turkiye ( Turkey)

Reports say that more than 8,000 people have died but this is expected to rise. Many are injured and under the rubble.

Homes, hospitals, bridges, roads and airports are damaged and destroyed.

Power is down and temperatures are freezing.

Oxfam, together with local partner organisations, need our support to reach people affected by the earthquakes in Türkiye (Turkey) and Syria. This is an urgent appeal for assistance.

Oxfam's support is expected to include water and sanitation provision, shelter and food support as well as longer term rehabilitation and reconstruction.

It is so hard not to be able to help physically but I am hoping we can all get together and do our part.
