Youth unemployment is increasing. And a job isn’t just a job. It’s independence, a sense of purpose, and hope for a better future.

I'm very grateful to now be doing something enjoyable that gives me financial security and a community of people who do things like this.

On 20 June 2025, a team of us from Hippo are taking part in the Edale Skyline Challenge to raise vital funds for RISE UP. They're a local charity who help some of the UK's most disadvantaged young people defy the odds and embrace their potential.

If you know me, you know I love a hike. But I've never done a walk like this. The Edale Skyline Challenge is a hilly 30km trail that'll take us about 10 hours. This is not a jolly day out (though I'm sure we'll have fun too).

We'll really be earning any donations and every penny counts. I appreciate whatever you can spare, especially during these tough times, so please skip one little pint/morning coffee/bunch of flowers and give what you can. And don't forget to Gift Aid it!
