In July 2025, we heartbreakingly lost our nephew Albie, the bravest little lion, after he was born prematurely at 23 weeks and fought the hardest battle for 2 months.

Albie passed away at Preston Hospital in his beautiful Mummy, Courtney's arms, with us all around him. The room was filled with so much love and proudness of them both but also so much heartache.

After Albie passed, him and Courtney were able to stay at Derian House for a couple of weeks, where we could spend as much time with them both as possible, before we laid Albie to rest. Derian House were nothing but amazing with Courtney, with the care and support she received.

Albie was placed in his own room, the Sunflower room, which for any grieving family, gave that little bit of comfort. It gave Courtney precious time with her gorgeous boy, and us time too, that we will cherish forever. Something we never would have had without Derian House.

Me and Gary want to do this in honour and memory of beautiful Albie, and for Gary's incredibly strong sister Courtney.
