When you hear the news that one of your dearest friends has fallen from her horse in a remote location and suffered life threatening injuries the next thing you want to hear is that the Air Ambulance can get to her. On that fateful day many years ago I feared the worse, but not only did the Air Ambulance get my pal to hospital, they gave urgent medical assistance on route. I swore that, as a fellow rider, I would do something to raise funds.

That day has come! in June I'll be summiting the three highest mountains in the UK (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) back to back with a team from Coodes Solicitors. We have a target trekking time of 15 hours, a combined climb of 3000m, all within a 24 hour time frame. Thankfully someone else will be driving us from the Grampians to the Lake District and on to Snowdonia!

Throughout the winter and spring I'll be training on the Cornish coast path as much as possible. Your sponsorship will spur me on when my knees want to give up, your generosity will keep me going when my toes say it's time to stop and on the challenge itself, the lack of sleep will not daunt me as I remember my friend and the Air Ambulance saving her life, and the lives of so many other people.
