Story
This summer me, Chloe and Maisy are taking part in the LOOK Miles for Mentoring fundraising challenge. We are planning to walk, jog and scoot 100 miles in August to raise vital funds for this small charity! We have lots of long walks planned and a few short runs for me and Chloe (Maisy has chosen to scoot with us to avoid any form of running!).
LOOK is a small but might charity that runs a peer mentoring scheme matching visually impaired (VI) children with older blind or partially sighted mentors, for friendship, guidance and advice.
I have worked for the charity for the last 5 years and I've seen it grow and blossom into a fantastic community of visually impaired young people supporting each other through tough, challenging times and have seen how much these families have valued being connected and supported.
The girls are keen to reach their 100 mile target and will be logging their progress daily to see if we can do this! Watch this space!
