Ride for Rhinos 2026 is a unique safari on horseback that takes place annually in the breathtaking Waterberg, South Africa. This adventure is not just about riding; it is a heartfelt mission to raise vital funds for rhino conservation and to support the local communities that depend on this magnificent landscape. The Waterberg stands as one of the last strongholds for rhinos, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure these incredible creatures have a future.
With only 12 places available for experienced riders, this event promises an unforgettable experience. The ride begins on the expansive 15,000-acre reserve at Ant Africa Safaris, where participants will embark on a week-long trek across the stunning terrain of the Waterberg. Riders will have the unique opportunity to ride alongside rhinos, canter with giraffes, camp under the magical African night sky, and forge friendships that will last a lifetime. This truly is an adventure of a lifetime that requires determination and fitness as riders cover approximately 250 km over 6-7 hours each day in the saddle.
We invite you to support our riders in their noble quest. Each participant is covering their own costs so that every penny raised—our target being min £1,500 each—goes directly to where it is needed most. Together, we can make a significant impact for rhino conservation and community support in this remarkable region. Let’s unite our efforts and ensure a brighter future for these majestic animals! The event kicks off on 24 January 2026; mark your calendars and join us in making a difference.
