Story

This is the 10th Ride for Rhinos which takes places annually in the Waterberg, South Africa. It is a unique safari on horseback, with an important purpose, to raise funds for rhino conservation and community support for the region, by helping to bring opportunity and economic benefit. The Waterberg is one of the last bastions of rhino on the planet and so needs all our support to ensure that these magnificent animals have a future.

There are 12 places available for experienced riders. The Ride starts on the 15,000 acre reserve belonging to Ant Africa Safaris, before setting out across the stunning landscape of the Waterberg. Over the week, riders will ride with rhino, canter with giraffe, camp under the African night sky and make friends for life. It truly is an adventure of a lifetime that requires determination, a level of fitness and a sense of humour to make the distance of around 250km, 6-7 hours a day in the saddle.

Please support the riders on their quest. Each is paying all their costs so every penny raised raised goes to Waterberg Rhino, a UK charity that works directly with organisations and individuals in the region. We ensure that the funds are utilised with the most effectiveness. With your support we are all playing our part in securing the rhinos' survival while enhancing the lives of the community on which rests the success of conservation.
