Story

We are fundraising for St Ann's Hospice in memory of My Mum Joyce Bolton, father-in-law Kevin Neild, Aunty Sandra, Aunty Ann, Aunty Bernee, Uncle Harold, Grand Parents and our legend of a Brother in law Alan Sidlow. Sadly loosing family members to cancer made me take up challenges and put my grief into running. The funds raised will help support patients at the hospice like they cared for my mum in her final Days. If I can make 1 patient smile with the funds raised then I am making a difffernce.

This will be my toughest challenge to date since my mum passed away in 2011 and also loosing my father-in-law, mums siblings. I have fundraised in the pass by doing marathon challenges, including a triple marathon challenge and running marathons in crazy costumes.

This challenge is a 50 mile ultra-marathon with 2593m of ascent and fusing together some of the trails in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Starting at the village of Malham with trails taking in Malham cove, the Dry Valley of Watlowes, Malham tarn, Fountains Fell, Janet’s foss and the wonderful Yorkshire 3 peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

Training will prove difficult inbetween teaching but l know I will have the extra support from the #GBUltras team, family, friends and collegues. #salfordmets #militaryfitness #stannshospicemanchester

To add to the 50 mile journey my husband and I will be doing the london Marathon which will be 2 week before the ultra 50 miler. I will be dressing in costume as Forest Gump aka 'Belinda Gump'. Pray for a cool day.

As a family we will be continuing with our fundraising by doing the Manchester 10k in Costume 'Belinda Bee' with my husband and daughter Lucia Belle.
