St Ann's Hospice is a charity which cares for thousands of local people with cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses every year.

Story

We are fundraising for St Ann's Hospice in memory of My Mum Joyce Bolton, father-in-law Kevin Neild, Aunty Sandra, Aunty Ann, Aunty Bernee, Uncle Harold, Uncle Fred, Grand Parents and our legend of a Brother in law Alan Sidlow. Sadly loosing so many of our family members to cancer made me take up challenges and put my grief into running. The funds raised will help support patients at the hospice like they cared for my mum in her final Days. If I can make 1 patient smile with the funds raised then I am making a difffernce.

This will be my toughest challenge to date since my mum passed away in 2011 and also loosing my father-in-law, mums siblings. I have fundraised in the pass by doing marathon challenges, including a triple marathon challenge, running marathons in crazy costumes, 50 mile ultra Marathon over the Yorkshire Peaks with 2593m of accent in hurrendous conditions.

Our Challenge this year will be 'The Wall'. Running 70 miles - the length of Adrian's Wall.

Training will prove difficult inbetween teaching but l know I will have the extra support from the rat race team, family, friends and collegues. #salfordmets #militaryfitness #stannshospicemanchester

To add to the 70 mile race in October our Daughter Lucia will be running her first half Marathon in October. My husband Stephen will be running the Manchester Marathon in May and I will be running London Marathon as a training on the same day. This run will be afew weeks before The Wall 70 Miles.

As a family we will be continuing with our fundraising by doing the Manchester 10k in Costume 'Belinda Bee' with my husband and daughter in May as a finale run.

Your amazing support of the years has enabled St Ann’s Hospice to provide care to people and their families living with a life-limiting illness in the Greater Manchester community. Your support will provide a range of free services to patients, carers and their loved ones from three sites as well supporting patients in their own homes.

Thankyou for your amazing support so far. It means so much to us.
