Story
In March 2026, I’ll be joining 24 Reckitt colleagues from around the world on an expedition to South Africa - a “Journey of Water” along the Tugela River in the Drakensberg. Over 8 days, we’ll be learning first-hand about the country’s water crisis and actively supporting conservation efforts that benefit local communities and wildlife. This will evolve working with local farmers to educate and help deliver water conservation projects and taking part in river clearances pulling up alien species and planting species that help purify the river water.
South Africa is the 30th driest country on Earth, receiving only half the global average rainfall. The Tugela River is a lifeline for many, and the work we’ll be doing is vital to restoring and protecting this precious resource ensuring everyone has access to clean water.
To take part, each of us is raising £4,000 - and every penny goes directly to water conservation projects. To help reach this goal, I’m setting myself monthly challenges..
Sept: the Nottingham Half Marathon this September on the 27th.
Oct: Valencia Hyroz relay
If you can support me - whether with a donation, a share, or a cheer you’ll be helping make a real difference to communities facing water scarcity.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me.
