Story
On Wednesday 14 June the pupils, teachers and parents of Horris Hill Prep School will be taking part in a continuous 72 hole Golf Marathon to raise funds for The National Animal Welfare Trust. Starting at 9am it is estimated that the challenge will take approximately 9 hours to complete as the participants compete on Horris Hill's 12 hole golf course.
The children have chosen The National Animal Welfare Trust; a Rescue and Rehoming charity who care for and rehome up to 1300 animals a year.
The charity care for animals who find themselves homeless through no fault of their own, bringing them back to good health, train them and finally find them a loving forever home. They never stop caring and are there as long as an animal needs them, offering continued support to everyone that rehomes a pet. Their mission is to promote responsible pet ownership throughout the UK so that one day every pet might have the responsible owner they deserve.
The NAWT will be speaking to the children about their valuable work as part of our wider curriculum outreach program.
We would be grateful for any donations to this worthy cause.
With thanks,
Ben Powell
