51,000 steps - in a day...!

Last January, our colleague and friend, Dan Jewell, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma – a grade four brain tumour – at just 51 years old. Dan's a good bloke - in fact, one of the very best - and his strength, humour, and resilience in the face of the most aggressive form of brain cancer have been nothing short of inspirational and humbling.
Glioblastoma is the most common and deadliest malignant brain tumour in adults, with over 3,000 people diagnosed each year in the UK. It’s fast-moving, hard to treat, and devastating for families.
To support Dan – and the extraordinary organisations that have been there for him and his family – we at Triple Point have launched Challenge51: a collective effort to raise £51,000 for each of the following charities:
• The Brain Tumour Charity
• The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
• Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity
That’s £153,000—with every penny going to pioneering treatment, support, and research.
My part? I’ll be walking 51,000 steps in a single day this May. That’s roughly a marathon... which is a little outside my usual routine of walking to the Tube and the occasional over-enthusiastic late-night dance. Armed with a fresh pair of Asics, a mid-tempo AI-curated Spotify playlist, and some industrial-grade anti-chafe cream, I’m going for it.
And now, I’m asking for your help.
At some point, cancer will touch most of us, directly or indirectly.
Your donation – no matter how small (or big!) – will help fund vital research and care for those in the fight of their lives.
Please help if you can. X
