Story
At the start of this year, I never imagined I'd be signing up for a half marathon…but here we are. Running wasn't something I’d done a lot of - mostly because for years I’d convinced myself I couldn’t do it - but now I'm taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2027 to not only achieve something I’m proud of, but to support a charity that does incredible work: Guide Dogs UK.
We're already proud sponsors of a guide dog puppy called Buzz, and following his journey has shown us just how incredible these dogs really are. They aren't just companions - they become someone's confidence, freedom and independence. They help people safely navigate the world, from getting to work or school to simply crossing a road or meeting friends. They truly change lives.
But before a guide dog can transform someone's future, there's years of expert breeding, training and care, as well as life long support for those that need it. It costs a lot of money to raise and train a single guide dog, and Guide Dogs UK can only continue this work because of donations and the generosity of people like us.
Running a half marathon will be one of the biggest physical challenges I’ve done, and every donation, no matter how big or small, will help motivate me through training and on race day.
Thank you so much for your support - it genuinely means a lot, both to me and to the people whose lives will be changed by these extraordinary dogs 🏃♀️❤️ 🐶
