Story
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects 1 in 100 people. It impacts the way a person communicates & how they perceive the world around them. Among the many organisations working to support individuals with autism, Ambitious About Autism stands out as the National Charity for autistic children & young people, championing their rights & creating opportunities. They stand with autistic children & young people by providing services, raising awareness, fostering understanding, & campaigning for change.
As a mum to my gorgeous little boy, Zac, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3, I know firsthand the challenges that come with this disability. The stares when we're out in public, the unwelcoming reactions from people when Zac tries to communicate - it's tough &, as a mummy, it can be truly upsetting. Each day presents new hurdles that require patience, resilience, & love.
Despite these challenges, I continually strive to celebrate Zac for who he is & to ensure he has the opportunities he deserves. That’s why I’m so proud to support Ambitious About Autism, a charity dedicated to making a difference in the lives of autistic children & their families.
I’m running for this wonderful charity because I believe in their mission & the positive change they bring to so many lives. Please support both myself & Ambitious About Autism by sponsoring me. No contribution is too small; every donation counts & will mean the world to me & the work we’re doing together. Thank you for your generosity & support!
