Bev's fundraiser for Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team

Bev Goward is raising money for Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team

Tandem SkyDive at Tilstock Airfield · 6 June 2026

We are Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team, a voluntary emergency service operating in Eryri (Snowdonia) and North West Wales. Our mission is to locate and assist people who are lost, injured, or in distress within the mountain and hard to reach places, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Story

I can't quite believe it, but Vick and I are going to be 50 (!!) this June and I have decided to celebrate by ticking something off my bucket list. If you have been thinking "what on earth can I get Bev for her birthday?", think no more!! All I want is to raise money for a fantastic local charity, by jumping out of a plane!

I moved to Beddgelert in 2025 and am honoured to be living in the beautiful world that is Eryri. As wonderful as it is, accidents happen and that is when the mountain rescue teams jump into action.

Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They respond to emergencies across Eryri (Snowdonia) - searching for those that are lost and rescuing people that are injured, in all conditions. As a charity they rely entirely on donations to fund their vehicles, life-saving equipment, and specialist training. Your contribution directly equips the volunteers to save lives in the mountains.

Yes.....these amazing people are all volunteers, giving up their time and knowledge to help anybody who needs it. I am in awe of them, and that is why I am supporting them with my birthday wishes.

Every penny makes a huge difference, so please be generous and donate what you can (even if it is just the price of a birthday pint!).
