The RAF Association is the Charity that supports the RAF family. Please scroll down for more RAFA details.
After 38 years in the RAF I have recently retired and now volunteer in support of RAFA. In May I became the President of the Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England Area of the RAFA, which includes 52 Branches and 8 Registered Members Groups, in 60 locations across the northern UK region. To raise funds for the charity, and to meet serving and retired RAF friends across the region I will motorbike 2500 miles from 4 to 29 August 2023 to meet all the Branches and Groups who are available. This will start at my home Branch of Halifax & District, and route clockwise around the region including the Isle of Man, Lake District, Northern Ireland, Central Scotland, Isle of Lewis, Orkney and Shetlands, and then down the East coast of Scotland and Northern England. I have been humbled by the generosity of our members who will accommodate me on this journey to minimise my costs, and all funds raised will go directly to the RAFA.
By donating to my challenge, you will help to fund vital projects to support the RAF community of yesterday, today and tomorrow. The RAF Association's Connections for Life service for our vulnerable veterans and Mental well-being courses are just two areas where the RAF Association offer help to the whole RAF community.
