Story
I don’t usually like sharing things like this, as I prefer to keep things private. However…
Three years ago, my mum sadly lost her battle with cancer.
This year, I’m running the Berlin Marathon in her memory and to raise money for the Institute of Cancer Research.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to me and will help support vital cancer research.
The Institute of Cancer Research is one of the world’s most influential cancer research organisations, with an outstanding record of achievement spanning more than 100 years. Every day, their scientists are finding new ways to detect cancer earlier, develop more effective treatments, and deliver life-changing research.
Every donation plays a vital role in keeping cancer research moving forward. Contributions help fund the essential day-to-day work in laboratories that builds towards major breakthroughs.
Your support could help in very real ways:
* £20 could pay for PCR primers – short DNA sequences used to identify cancer-related genes
* £50 could buy a box of pipette tips, used daily in experiments
* £100 could power a high-resolution microscope for an hour, allowing scientists to closely examine cancer cells and track how they respond to treatment
I’m running the Berlin Marathon in memory of my mum, and to support this incredible work.
Help us reach the finishing line. Together, we can finish cancer.
