Raising awareness and support for PSP and CBD

5km Group Walk / Run · 20 July 2025
Our father Adam Bird was diagnosed back in December 2024 with something called Corticobasal degeneration or CBD.
CBD effects movement, vision and difficulty using one side of the body.. there is no treatment yet to cure it unfortunately or even prolong life expectancy, though everybody's journey is different.
With that said we have decided to arrange a sponsored 5km walk or run around Lydiard Park on 20th July 2025 at 10.30am to kick off the walk at 11am - all are invited including children - we would love to do a picnic after on the field for everyone to get together so please bring your picnics and footballs
We are asking £10 a adult and £3 a child to take part
All money is donated to PSPA to help go towards raising awareness awareness of CBD and PSP this will help other families get the diagnosis and support they need
we hope you can join us :) please share the link far and wide to get the word out there and help others that may need it - even if you can't make it, any spare pennys we appreciate so much 🙏🏼❤️
Dad ... Adam Bird... this is for you, our brave Daddy, husband, Grampy, Brother and friend, we walk this journey with you together 💙🩷
PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to creating a better future for everyone affected by Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration.
We will do this by: Providing information and support to enable families living with PSP & CBD to live their best possible lives; Improving the quality of life for people living with the condition via research and awareness raising; Putting the voice of the PSP & CBD community at the heart of what we do.
