Story

This year, we are thrilled to introduce the Pathway to Progress, a reimaging of our previous Walk for Hope. To celebrate the release of the Salt Path film, we invite supporters from all over the UK to join us in this special event. Whether you create your own walk or join an existing team, this is the perfect opportunity to make a difference and show your support for loved ones with PSP & CBD.

The Pathway to Progress is our community fundraising event aiming to engage individuals, teams, and schools in a health-focused challenge to walk a minimum of 6.3 miles (10.08km) virtually. The chosen distances symbolise 1/100th of the Southwest Coastal Path (Salt Path), adding a unique and meaningful element to the challenge.

In 2025, we have an incredible reason for you to take up the challenge. As in 2024 a generous donor has again pledged to match every pound raised by our supporters, but this year up to an amazing total of £40,000! This means that if we can raise a minimum of £40,000 through our Pathway events, we will have that amount doubled. Imagine the impact we can make together!

By joining in, you will help PSPA continue our vital work throughout 2025 and beyond. This event will empower people to show their support, raise much needed funds, share information about PSP & CBD, and foster a sense of community. In this spirit we ask that there is a flat section in your proposed walk to allow everyone to be involved no matter their mobility level (wheelchair and walking aid access) ideally toward the end of the event.
