Story

We are a team of four from Bledlow and have taken part in the Tour for a number of years. We are sad to hear it is the last one, but hope to make it a special one for a great cause!

WheelPower the national charity for wheelchair sport have been providing opportunities for people with physical impairments to take part in sport for over 75 years. Based at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympic movement, WheelPower is at the heart of wheelchair sport.

Steve attended the Inter Spinal Unit Games in 2025 and this is what he had to say about the experience.

“It’s been absolutely fantastic; I’ll probably reflect on this and it’ll be life changing for me. It’s already going to inspire me to get more active in sport rather than being just a spectator. My daughters are active gym users, and they’ve been nutting my head to go to the gym for quite some time and this has given me the drive to go and do that, but I am also wanting to get involved in other sports that are accessible for myself, so I am really looking forward to that.”
