Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity.

Inspired by the energy of London Pride last weekend, Lewis Whiting's recent newsletter introduction, and, of course, our shared love of cake, Cristina Stoican and I are hosting a Pride Charity Bake Sale at 11 am on 22 July in our Fora office, in support of Just Like Us - a fantastic charity helping to make education more inclusive and tackle anti-LGBTQ+ bullying across the UK. 🌈🍰

Unfortunately, growing up LGBT+ is still unacceptably tough. Almost half of young people have received little or no positive messaging about being LGBT+ at school. This results in LGBT+ young people being twice as likely to have been bullied at school compared to their peers, and they are twice as likely to suffer from poor mental health and depression.

Young people spend and average of 190 days in school each year, to help every LGBT+ young person and every school community create a safe and inclusive environment that helps young people to thrive, I'm taking part in the 190 Challenge.
