Team: Team Tilly fundraising for Derian House Children's Hospice

In memory of Tilly Worthington

adidas Manchester Marathon 2027 · 18 April 2027 · Start fundraising for this event

Derian House Children's Hospice provides specialist care and respite to children and young people with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. We cover the South of Cumbria, the entire of Lancashire and the North of Manchester. To provide our services in 2024 the cost to us stands at over £6m.

Story

Very sadly earlier this year Tilly Worthington passed away aged just 13. Her dad, Pete, who has been a colleague and friend friend for over 20 years is undertaking three events over the next 12 months to keep the memory of his beautiful daughter alive.

Danielle, Emma and myself are taking part in at least one of the events - the Manchester Marathon in April 27.

This will be the first marathon that Danielle and Emma have attempted and although I have done one before it was 40 years ago!

We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Derian house Children's Hospice who cared for Tilly with dignity while she was at rest and also looked after Pete at the very sad time.
