The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

As a family, we are incredibly proud to be raising our first Guide Dog puppy, Kez. It has already been one of the most rewarding things we have ever done, and seeing first-hand the work that goes into raising a future life-changing dog has inspired our son, Bradley, to do even more.

It costs over £100,000 to support a Guide Dog throughout their lifetime, from birth and training right through to their working life and retirement. As a charity, Guide Dogs relies heavily on the generosity of people who donate and fundraise to make this possible.

Bradley has set himself an amazing challenge: to raise £10,000 for Guide Dogs and earn the opportunity to name a future Guide Dog puppy. 🐾💛

He knows £10,000 is a huge target, but he’s determined to get there through fundraising, events and plenty of hard work.

Every single donation, no matter how big or small, will take him one step closer to his goal — and, most importantly, help Guide Dogs continue changing the lives of people with sight loss.

Thank you so much for supporting Bradley. 💙💛🐾

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.

Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
