Brandon will be taking on the Manchester Marathon Sunday 19th April 2026!

He will be joined by his dad and grandad for the duration to help wheel him through the 26.2 miles, 3 generations running together!

In April 2026 Brandon will be 15 years old. Back in April 2011 Brandon was born at Salford Royal Hospital (Hope Hospital) and due to a traumatic birth was placed into the intensive care unit for 14 days. During that time Ronald Macdonald House provided a room for his mum and dad to enable us to be by his side every minute during his stay. Over the years RMHC have helped with other stays in hospital like they do for thousands of other families in hospital every year.

This is hopefully our way to say thank you to RMHC!

Our Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain.
