Brian's fundraiser for Guy's Gift

Brian Taylor is raising money for Guy's Gift

Coventry Cathedral Abseil · 1 August 2026 ·

Following the death of someone important, many children and young people feel isolated and alone. Every £2,000 raised funds a Guy's Gift bereavement support group for up to 30 children and young people.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been working as the Fundraiser for Guy's Gift for nearly five years now, and I never cease to be staggered by the difficulties faced by the children and young people we support, and to be amazed by the ability of our support team to deliver meaningful help to children and their families at a desperately difficult time in their lives. The very least I can do to try and support this work and the young people affected is to undertake this challenge and ask you, if you are able, to dig into your pockets to help us provide the support needed by the approximately 700 young people referred to us each year, after they have experienced a bereavement at such a young age. There is little or no statutory support in this field, so without Guy's Gift, these young people would be very much alone with their grief.

Thank you.

Brian.
