Hospiscare is a local charity, providing expert palliative and end-of-life care for those who need it across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. Every year, they support over 2,500 people during some of the hardest times possible, enabling them to make the most of the time they have left.

So, when they asked Gleeds Exeter if we would take on a challenge and pledge to raise vital funds for palliative care in our community…Of course we said yes!

With pride and just a little apprehension, Bryony Whitehurst, Adrian Duffell and Nick Moody from Gleeds Exeter will be coming together on 6 September 2025 to tackle… Dartmoor in a Day.

This 30km trek across remote and rugged Dartmoor will put our resilience, our team spirit and our navigational skills (and perhaps our waterproofs) to the test, but we’re determined to rise to the challenge!

So please, make every step count and help us secure the future of this local charity today.

We are aiming to raise £300 per team member, £10 for each km we'll cover - enough to help fund four home visits from a Hospiscare nurse and two hours of specialist bereavement support.

Any donation you can make, no matter how big or small, will make a difference!
