Local businesses trek moor miles for Hospiscare

If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that resilience is key.

So, this September, we’re asking local businesses to invest in their people, test their metal and support end-of-life care in their community, by taking on a challenge with a difference. One that requires teamwork, determination, communication, drive and a desire to break down barriers and achieve something incredible.

Enter Dartmoor in a Day: a 30km trek across wild, isolated and rugged Dartmoor. With no sign-posts or markers to guide the way, come rain or shine, participants will need to use maps and GPS to ensure their team makes it to each check point and finally, the finish line.

Madness? No. This. Is. Dartmoor!

Although Hospiscare can’t change a terminal diagnosis, we want to be there, ensuring that those with life-limiting illness receive compassionate, expert end-of-life care at no cost to them or their family. We want to be there for the friends and family of our patients, providing the support and advice they need.

But as a local charity, we rely on donations to fund our services – and we need our business community to rally round so that local people aren’t forced to face one of life’s most difficult journeys alone.
