It’s always someone else’s child - until it becomes YOUR child.

In late July of 2026, 10-year-old Cal Coleman was diagnosed with a large brain tumor. All of the heart wrenching stories we’d heard of throughout our lives became our reality.

Thanks to Le Bonheur, our son’s tumor was fully removed and he was put on a path to a full recovery. We would not still have our son if not for Le Bonheur. It really is as simple as that.

God used every single individual we encountered at Le Bonheur in a mighty way. The transport team created immediate peace. The ER team was urgent, yet so caring and calm at the same time. The FedExFamilyHouse is amazing beyond words, providing a place where we could shower, rest, eat and not worry about a thing. Cal’s neurosurgery team led by Paul Klimo was absolutely incredible. Dr. Klimo is the top pediatric neurosurgeon in the world, and it’s because all of this is so much more than just a job for him. His care for the patient AND family is real and authentic. You’ll find that spirit throughout Le Bonheur and we owe our son’s life to it.

Cal is a walking miracle. In his honor, we’ve created the Cal Coleman Collective. It’s for people who know and love Cal. It’s for people who have also leaned on Le Bonheur in a time of need. It’s for people who simply want to provide hope. It’s for people who are committed to making sure kids like Cal get their chance to overcome huge obstacles and live full lives.
