About Greenpower and Grampian Transport Museum Young Engineers

A lifeline to opportunity and untapped potential for thousands of young people.

Greenpower motivates young individuals worldwide to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics by presenting them with a distinctive challenge: to create, construct, and compete with an electric car. Participating in this opportunity also offers an exciting journey toward acquiring skills that will enable them to transition into becoming positive contributors to their communities and serve as role models.

As a national charity, we work with schools and youth clubs and reach approximately 11,000 young people aged 9-25 each year helping them build technical abilities, confidence, and the personal and social skills they need to overcome challenges and work towards a brighter future.

We provide the tools and opportunity for young people to work as a team to build an electric powered race car which they then use to compete. Teams contribute between £60 and £100 per race event to put their cars to the test against each other.

Greenpower delivers a distinct message to young people: that they are entitled to excellence and have the potential to accomplish anything.

But we can’t do any of this without your support..
