Story
On the 25th of February I will be running the Sahara Half Marathon, from Auserd to Smara in the Tindouf region of Algeria, as well as living with a Sahrawi family in a refugee camp for a week.
The race is organised by the State Secretariat for Sports of the Government of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and aims to raise awareness and solidarity for the Sahrawi people who have been displaced for over 45 years since the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara.
You can find out more about the race here:

Money raised will be donated directly to Sandblast, a UK based charity working within the refugee camps, and will be used to support their Dessert Voicebox project to train teachers and provide resources for the eduction of Sahrawi children.
