Story
In rural Cambodia, the average villager earns around $60 AUD a month, yet a single medical consultation costs about $40. This makes even urgent care unaffordable. As a result, many live with treatable conditions for extended periods of time—such as cleft lips and palates, burn contractures, hernias, and tumours—that cause lifelong pain, disability, and stigma.
These are not even rare or complex problems; they are common, correctable, and devastating when untreated. Children miss school. Adults can’t work. Families face financial hardship, social isolation, and emotional distress simply because care is out of reach.
This October 2025, we will join a surgically focused mission trip to Bileg in rural Cambodia, partnering with Bread and Life International—a 100% volunteer-led UK charity serving the poor across several countries in Asia. They serve in a variety of areas including medical outreach, orphan care, feeding programs, children’s ministry, and self-sustaining projects like water pumps and pig farms.
Thank you for your generosity — and even more so, your prayers, which will help bring hope, healing, and dignity to those who need it most.
