Why I'm Running the London Marathon for HEART UK
On 26 April, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamHEARTUK – and I need your support.
I’m running for HEART UK – The Cholesterol Charity – to raise vital funds and awareness for a cause that affects nearly 1 in 2 adults in the UK: high cholesterol. It’s a hidden risk that can lead to heart attacks, strokes and vascular dementia – but with the right support, it’s also preventable.
When I was a kid, my dad had a heart attack and subsequently in 2018 had to have bypass and heart valve replacement surgery. Through both medication and treatment he has been there for all the major milestones in my life. This experience highlighted the importance of both health and fitness.
HEART UK is a small charity making a big impact – offering expert advice, campaigning for earlier diagnosis, and supporting families with inherited conditions. They receive no government funding, so donations like yours genuinely keep them going.
Please sponsor me if you can – every pound makes a difference.
Together, we can help keep hearts running.
Thank you for your support.
