Story
Throughout my career as a paediatric physiotherapist, I have seen the devastation meningitis can cause. I’m all too aware that the children I see are survivors.
Throughout the month of October, babies and toddlers who are members of Turtle Tots swim school, are invited to take part in a week of sponsored water-based activities to raise money for Meningitis Now.
Robyn adores her swimming lessons & has been working so hard every week (even if class isn’t on). On Friday, she will take on the challenge of completing 10 “jump ins” all by her self last week she managed 5 so it will be a real challenge!
The creation of Splash Now was inspired following the death of baby, Clara, who sadly lost her battle with meningitis at just 10 months old.
You can read Clara’s story here: https://www.meningitisnow.org/support-us/news-centre/meningitis-stories/claras-story/
Meningitis Now is committed to fighting the disease in the UK by funding research, raising awareness and providing support for people whose lives have been changed by meningitis.
Thank you for getting involved in this year's campaign. The money you raise will help to save lives and rebuild futures.
