Story
The Canterbury Academy is raising money for BBC Children in Need. Together we can support children and young people across the UK to rebuild their lives.
Right now, too many children across the UK are facing life’s toughest moments alone. Many are living in poverty, facing mental health struggles, grief, disability, or growing up in communities impacted by violence. Every child deserves someone who shows up for them. That’s why we are fundraising for BBC Children in Need.
Use this page to donate for the non-uniform day on Friday 14th November, suggested donation £1/£2 (please note JustGiving has a minimum donation amount of £2). Please list the name and mentor group of the child you're donating for and email headsofhouse@canterbury.kent.sch.uk in advance of the day itself if possible. If you are eligible to add gift aid, please do. This significantly increases the amount that goes to the charity, at no extra cost to you.
Any other activities will be cash on the day so please DO NOT donate on here for anything else.
Donate any loose coins to our Coin War boxes in the library. Bake sales will take place in the hall at lunchtime daily during CIN week - these will be cash only.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Your donations will fund local people and projects across the UK that provide vital support to children and young people when they need it most. No child has to face life’s toughest moments alone.
Thank you!
