Story
Welcome to our Secondary School 2025 campaign, where your students can join other Secondary Schools across the UK to fundraise for BBC Children in Need.
This year, Pudsey is calling on Secondary Schools to organise their own sponsored challenge to help fund vital projects that help to make life lighter for children across the UK.
Right now, too many children across the UK are facing life’s toughest moments alone. Many are living in poverty, with mental health struggles, grief, a disability, or growing up in communities impacted by violence. Every child deserves to thrive and for someone who shows up for them.
BBC Children in Need funds people and projects across the UK that provide vital support to children and young people when they need it most. From youth clubs and counselling services to food banks and mentoring programmes, these projects help children feel seen, heard, and supported.
It has never been more important for your school to get involved.
📣 Only 1 in 6 organisations who ask us for help can currently be funded
📣 31% of all children in the UK are living in poverty
📣 In the last five years the likelihood of young people having a mental health issue has increased by around 50%
That’s why we’re asking you to get involved
To mark 2025, we’re asking you to organise a challenge with your students or form group around the number 25; whether it be walking 25km over Appeal week, 25 cupcakes baked, or a 25-question quiz, the choice is yours! Get your students involved.
You will all be funding more life-changing projects to make sure no child has to face life’s toughest moments alone.
