Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having tried to gain a place in the London Marathon for the last few years, this year when I didn’t gain a place I decided to enter the Brighton Mararthon instead. I wanted to prove to myself I can still run the distance and try and set a PB.
I couldn’t do such a challenge without trying to raise money for a charity. Being a teacher and Explorer Scout leader working with children of all ages, I wanted to raise money to help children and so it seemed obvious to raise some funds for CHSW.
I am taking on a double challenge, as this year will be the first time I will try and complete two marathons in the same year. In fact, it will be two marathons in 9 weeks. On the 8th June I will be walking a marathon for the first time - this time to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society with my wife, Laura.
