I really enjoy spending time on Dartmoor walking with family, friends & of course my fur babies. Fortunately for me, I have never had to call upon the services of the rescue team, but know how important their work is & what an incredible team of volunteers they are.

This 18-mile trek along the Templer Way is no afternoon stroll; it’s a long day and a significant challenge walking all the way from Haytor on Dartmoor down to the sea at Sheldon. I am embarking on this journey on April 19, 2026, to raise vital funds for the voluntary-run emergency service.

The Dartmoor Search and Rescue Ashburton Team relies heavily on the outstanding fundraising efforts of the public. Your support is crucial in keeping this team operational and ready to assist those in need. They simply couldn’t manage without your generosity.
