Story
Hi everyone!
As many of you know, my world usually revolves around planning perfect getaways. But this May 17th-20th, things are getting a little more rugged. I am so proud to have been chosen for the Grecotel & Aspire Charity Hike in Kalamata, Greece and I’m doing it to raise vital funds for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The Challenge:
This isn't just a scenic walk! I’ll be tackling:
The Ridomo Gorge: A rocky, boulder-filled scramble through narrowing stone corridors.
Mount Taygetos: An ascent to 2,407m. It’s the highest peak in the Peloponnese and the legendary training ground for Spartan warriors (so I’d better start training like one!).
Why I’m doing this:
I’ve set a personal target of £1000 to support the incredible team at St Catherine’s in West Sussex. I especially want to highlight their work surrounding early onset grief. This is the "hidden" grief that starts long before a loss actually happens - the moment a family receives a terminal diagnosis. St Catherine’s provides the compassionate care and mental health support needed to navigate that incredibly heavy mountain of emotion.
Whether you’ve booked a holiday with me, we’ve shared a glass of wine, or you’re just here for the "sweaty hiking photos" I’ll be posting - I would be so grateful for your support.
Every pound helps ensure that no one in our community has to face the mountain of grief alone.
Thank you so much,
Carly x
