Story
I am an outdoor person, always have been. Walking is my passion and I am very lucky as I have been able to walk in lovely places all around the world. I have walked the Himalayas, the Amazon jungle, climbed the Kilimanjaro twice and taken part in many other adventures. All changed two years ago when I was diagnosed with Axial Spondyloarthritis. This condition has changed my life completely. These days I have to think twice about going for a walk and the distance that I am going to be able to walk. Being in pain 24/7 is not fun and it is so easy to give in but, I want to believe that I still can do things even if in a different way. Taking part in this fundraising event is my way to show myself that I still can do it and to thank the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society for their continuous support. Thank you.
