Why I’m fundraising for GNAAS
I’m doing the Great North Run again this year, 10 years after I first took part.
This one is going to be a little different. I’m still building back up following an injury last year, so there won’t be any thoughts of chasing a time — it’s going to be very slow and steady, with the main goal being to get back to that start line and enjoy the experience.
As some of you know there is also a personal reason why I support GNAAS after they came out to try and help my Dad. Whilst they sadly couldn’t change the outcome, I’ll never forget the fact that they were there and that they tried.
The service they provide is incredible, responding to thousands of call outs each year across the North East, Yorkshire & Cumbria, but it relies heavily on donations to keep going. GNAAS needs to raise millions of pounds each year to operate and continue providing its lifesaving service.
So, 10 years after my first GNR, I’m going back and putting myself through it again — this time with a very personal reason behind every mile.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every pound will help GNAAS continue to be there for the next family who needs them. ❤️🚁
Thank you for supporting me and this very special cause.
