Story
Hi everyone! I’m taking on The Big Surplus Cycle: Ride the Link, Feed the Community for FareShare Sussex & Surrey, a brilliant local charity that rescues surplus food and gets it straight to charities and community groups supporting hungry people across the region instead of ending up in landfill.
I’m aiming to raise £300 so if you can sponsor me, it would be much appreciated! In fact every £1 donated provides 4 meals locally, so if I hit my target of £300 we could together be providing 1,200 meals which would be incredible !
On 3rd October I will be , or attempting to, cycle 47 miles from St Martha’s Hill, Guildford to the Fareshare warehouse in Moulescomb. In my mind I’m still in my 40’s but who knows if this 60+ body will be able to live up to that fantasy. So I’d be grateful if you would sponsor me per mile - just in case . Or if you’re feeling generous sponsor me for the effort. I will certainly try and complete it and as you know I am stubborn - but would hate for the charity to suffer if I fail to deliver .
Oh and I’m doing it on my folding bike , with teeny wheels , so double the effort !
Thanks for reading this & supporting this amazing charity, which sadly, is particularly needed when times are hard
💚
