On Saturday 5th September, Sarah, Laura and I will be taking on the Derian House Hospice Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. As a team, we’ll attempt to conquer the three iconic Yorkshire Dales peaks – Whernside (736m), Ingleborough (723m) and Pen-y-Ghent (694m).

The challenge will see us walk 39km, climb over 1,700m, and aim to complete the route within 12 hours, finishing back in Horton and earning a place in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Club.

We’re doing this to raise money for Derian House Children’s Hospice, a truly incredible charity that provides respite and end-of-life care for babies, children and young people across the North West. The hospice relies heavily on fundraising to continue providing its outstanding care and support to children and their families.

For Sarah’s family, Derian House has been nothing short of a lifeline. Her daughter, Tilly, regularly stays at the hospice, where she receives exceptional care and has the most wonderful experiences. Those stays also give the family some much-needed respite, knowing Tilly is in the safest and most caring hands.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference and help Derian House continue its amazing work for families like Sarah’s.
