In September 2026, I will be running the Great North Run in memory of my grandad who sadly passed away in 2024 with a brain tumour, after a few months of palliative care.

My grandad LOVED running (half) marathons, and the Great North Run was his favourite race - in the care home when he could remember little else, he could still remember the end of this run. I am running to honour him and to make him proud 💛

All the money raised will help Marie Curie provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.
