Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting the MND Association.
My dear Dad got diagnosed with the cruel disease MND in early 2018. He was strong, fit (for a 72 year old) and still working on his farm. This disease slowly took away everything, first his strength so he was unable to work and do what he loved. His speech, ability to swallow and breathing slowly deteriorated and everyday became a struggle. He never complained or made a fuss about what he was going through, he sadly lost the fight in October 2019.
We would love to raise as much as possible so hopefully one day there may be a cure or better treatment for MND so others don't have to suffer.
The challenge:
2 years ago I ran half marathon with my Mum riding her horse and we raised an incredible £5k.
My daughter, Ester (9) would also love to raise some money in memory of her Grandad.
We will run 10k around Membury where Dad lived his whole life. Rowan (6) will join on his bike for the last 3k and they would both love any other children (or adults!) to join in the last 3k, either running or riding a bike! Finishing at Membury village hall where the cafe will be serving a special lunch also raising money for MNDA.
Please all join us for lunch after at the hall where we will be serving some delicious dishes and cakes, 1pm - 4pm.
Thank you for your support, we really appreciate it.
Ester, Cath and Family.
