Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many of you will know I am a member of Pensby Runners club, Wirral.
I am running the Athens Marathon on 9th November 2025 and wish to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Support in memory of a true inspiration, Roy Fisher.
Roy was the club chairman for several years. A retired teacher/deputy headmaster, Roy competed & promoted cross country, fell and road running events. Known for the concept/devising of the Tuff Nutz and Chairmans Challenge amongst others.
Roy was a keen landscape photographer & local historian. He cycled from Lands End to John 'o' Groats, with his wife Alison as his support for charity.
After a long and valiant fight, Roy lost his battle with prostate cancer in February 2022, leaving his devoted wife Alison, son Trevor and two grand daughters.
I would be so grateful if you could donate ( any amount) and share with friends and family far and wide. It all makes a huge difference to raise awareness of a disease that is so costly to men's health.
