Wild Mountain NI : Barefoot Mourne Wall Challenge 

Cathy Reavy from Wild Mountain NI will take on the Mourne Wall in her bare feet on the rescheduled date of Saturday 30th September to raise funds for the Mourne Mountain Rescue Team

The Mourne Mountain Rescue team is made up entirely of volunteers. These men & woman selflessly give their time 365 days a year to ensure we can enjoy our beautiful Mourne Mountains safely.

 As a company that provides guided hiking adventures within the Mourne Mountains and regular Mourne hikers for many years before that.. we are very grateful for the service that these volunteers provide. We decided to come up with a challenge to raise funds for the MMRT and give something back. As a keen barefoot walker, Cathy decided a year a go that doing the Iconic Mourne Wall hike barefoot would be the perfect challenge. 1 year in the making …and many barefoot miles in the preparation… Cathy from Wild Mountain NI will take on the Mourne Wall in her barefeet on Saturday 16th September.

This hike is the ultimate Mourne Challenge and for those who have done it will know it’s not for the faint hearted .. never mind doing it barefoot.
