We rescue & rehome abandoned greyhounds to give them the life they deserve

Story

Hi, first I will introduce myself.

My name is Cecilia and I have been volunteering for Tia since 2018. I first step in at Tia when they were base at Doncaster. On April 2022 I had to say goodbye to Tia as they moved to Nairn, Scotland. Me thinking I won't see them again, believe it or not (still I can't believe it) I travelled the country 4 times by plane, by car and even by coach (which takes 10 hours travel). I guess that's how much I love Tia, greyhounds gave me and still give me a lot in personal level while I walked them but also I give a lot back to them when I'm with them still if it is for a few days. Best part some of them still remembers me which it is nice feeling.

Since Tia moved, Debra and Bob had to start from scratch again at the new farm. Tia's priority at moment it is to build a new kennel block for all greyhounds who live at Tia and the ones will come in future. So thats why I want to help Tia's greyhounds to raise as much as I can to build their new home.

My challenge is Yorkshire 3 peaks. A 24 miles (38.6km) and ascent of 5200ft(1585m). A walk of 12 hours non stop. Will be very challenging mentally and physical. I'm not the best in climbing but always I push myself and to say that yes I can do it. Main thing is to finish it. I know Ingleborough, Pen-Y-Ghent and Whernside are waiting for me this year. Will you join me in this adventure? By sponsor me all money will go direct to Tia.

I will update you with plenty photos and adventures I had at Tia and also on my training walks.

Thank you for supporting me and these special greyhounds.... Because I know I won't walk all my own, I will have greyhounds following me on my special walk the past and present and all of you too.

Love and hugs C x

About the charity
